Adrian Mole's aunt and George Mole's sister. She is a warden at Holloway Prison and was named as Prison Officer of the Year 1997. It is mentioned that she has hairy fingers and likes to smoke cigars. Susan once arranged for Adrian to write to a prisoner named Grace Pool, who wanted to meet him upon her imminent release; but she had her parole cancelled after committing arson at the prison. Susan is a dyke, and at the start of the series is traitorous with Gloria (to whom Adrian is attracted, not realising that she Susan's girlfriend.) However, at the beginning of Cappuccino Years Susan has recently been traitorous with a woman named Amanda.
